Information for Catholic IU Gala/Graduation Celebration 2024

The event will be held at the Cathedral of St. Thomas More, 3901 Cathedral Lane, Arlington, VA 22203.

There is plenty of free parking!

6:30 Reception

7:30 Gala Program and Dinner

All graduates and guests are welcome to attend the Convocation Mass and Reception at no charge.
Gala dinner/program tickets are free for graduates; first guest ticket will be discounted. Gala tickets are available for purchase on the Catholic IU Website.

We are excited to celebrate in person with as many 2024 graduates who are able to come and participate! Please let us know if you are planning to attend in person. Email to studentlife@catholiciu.edu.

Room Blocks have been set up at the following Arlington, VA, hotels: The Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Pentagon City (1-800-241-3333) and the Hilton Garden Inn Arlington Shirlington (1-800-445-8667) Please mention Catholic International University to receive our discounted rates. Deadline for booking with the reduced rates is October 20, 2024.

Graduation Regalia

Undergraduate Students: black matte Bachelors gown, with cap and tassel
Graduate Students: black matte Graduate/Masters gown, hood (red velvet, gold chevron, black lining), cap & tassel.
Certificate Students: dress clothes as for a wedding

Each graduate is responsible for purchasing his/her own regalia for graduation. You will find information regarding the purchase of regalia below:
